Consumer Agreement To Use Electronic Records And Signatures
The SureDocs platform requires users to acknowledge the Consumer Agreement to Use Electronic Records and Signatures before a signature can be applied to a document.
If 3rd parties ask for documentation that show a signer has agreed to the Consumer Agreement, the following information demonstrates that the signer has agreed to the Consumer Agreement:
Click below to view or download the Consumer Agreement to Use Electronic Records and Signatures document.
- The following steps describe how to view and print a log showing that the signer agreed to the Consumer Agreement:
- Open SureDocs
- Select the document for which you’d like to view the log
- Click the Secure Receipts button at the top of the page
- Click Print Log
- Go to PipelineROI.com/Verify to verify each SureDoc signature on any SureDoc document.
- If you need the Consumer Agreement to have a user’s signature directly on it, you can send the agreement to them via SureDocs using the same steps you would use to place Signature Tags on any other type of document.
The Consumer Agreement to Use Electronic Records and Signatures document does not contain a signature due to the following reasons:
a) There is not a signature tag on the document – there is only an Accept button for recipient to click. There is not a location on the document for the recipient to add their signature.
b) The electronic signature isn’t created until after the recipient accepts the terms outlined in the form.
c) SureDocs is not a form generator. It is a tool that can be used to send documents/forms to people for their signature. If a signature is needed on a form, use SureDocs to apply a signature tag to the form, then send it to a recipient.
d) It is always up to the recipient to decide if an e-signature will be accepted. If they don’t accept the e-signature, you can always have the option to send the document to a signer (via SureDocs) and request a wet signature.
